FUNERAL SONG LIST:

When planning a funeral service or mass, you will need to choose several songs.
Typically you'll need:
1)
A song as people enter, to basically "set the mood".
2) A couple worship songs or hymns that people will sing or follow along.
3) A "special song" which has special meaning.
This is where you could use one of the Contemporary Christian songs,
or possibly use a secular pop song.
4) If there is communion, or Eucharist, you will a hymn or worship song.
5) At the very end, you may need one last final special or worship song.
6) A Catholic Mass will need a cantor to do responsorial psalmns

So, knowing that these are a lot of decisions to make, and most people are not familiar with what songs are available,
we've compiled these lists of songs divided into categories.
The following is a list of just some songs we would suggest.
Some videos may contain tacky images but we chose them because they contain the lyrics.
For more extensive lists of Special songs, see the links to other websites at the bottom of the page.

Part 1-Special Songs

These songs can be used at a Memorial gathering anywhere.
In a church, use them as a Special song, which is usually right before or after the sermon/homily.
They can also be used at the beginning and end of the service/mass as people enter and exit.
They can also be used as part of a video compilation or slide presentation.

another for the middle and again during communion/eucharist.
It all depends on the church and denomination.
